- iPhone T-Mobile settings to remember -

Currently Running ios4 on 3GS with 04.26.08 baseband jailbroken and unlocked through ilikemyiphone‘s pwnage tool created custom firmware.

iPhone Cheapo T-mobile 2g internet

Since you can’t get a 3g connection for iPhone from T-mobile because of different 3g frequencies between AT&T and T-mobile, you can stick with the Tzones or the cheapo $10 internet plan that I have and still get an inexpensive/solid internet connection.

In settings, go to network>  set your cellular data network’s apn to “internet2.voicestream.com” (without the quotes)

Settings>Network>Cellular Data> Under MMS

for the Apn: “wap.voicestream.com”
Username:                                           (Intentionally left blank)
Password:                                             (Intentionally left blank)
MMSC: “http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080

After entering that in, restart iPhone and you should get camera icon in text message field.

If you get error message or not able to send/receive pictures or can only do one or the other, watch this video.

Appsync for Cracked Apps

Assuming you have already jailbroken your iPhone, if you haven’t open up safari on your iPhone and go to “jailbreakme.com” or if the site isn’t working anymore go here

Open Cydia>Manage tab on the bottom>Sources>Click Edit>Click Add> enter in the following source “http://cydia.hackulo.us”> Once source is added and verified click on your newly added source>install appsync for whichever firmware you are running.

At this point you should be able to download cracked apps(ipa) and double click on them to add to itunes and it will install the app when you sync in itunes.

or

You can go back to the hackulous source in cydia (same place where you installed appsync) and install “installous”   So you can download cracked apps directly onto your phone without the need to sync through itunes.

WOOT! Stock MMS hacked onto my IPhone 2g on Tmobile

If you are like me and thought it was strange that Apple made the MMS option unavailable for the first generation of IPhones and thought WTF, why?? Then you are in luck. It would be understandable if the MMS option needed the extra processing power of the new IPhone 3gs or something, but when they said that MMS would only be available to 3g and 3gs, it was a real slap in the face of early adopters. Since the 3g is basically the same as the 1st gen IPhone  I thought WTF and figured the only reason is because those bastards at Cupertino are trying to make more money and screw the early adopters once again (Remember the immediate price drop for the first gen?)

But now thanks to geniusan, the first gen IPhone owners can be made whole. Here are the steps I took and hopefully it will work for you too.

I have 3.0 firmware unlocked and jailbroken through Redsnow.

First Gen IPhone 16gb **(The 3G IPhones may brick when using this)**
Tmobile
5.99 Tzones

1. First open up cydia and find and install the “ActivateMMS2g” from iSpazio

2. Then Reboot Phone

3.  then Settings> General> Network> Cellular Data Network, (Make sure data roaming is on) and configure the MMS options

4. My settings for MMS are:

APN: epc.tmobile.com (Make sure this APN is the same as the “Cellular Data” APN above or else it won’t stick) (Other people use other APNs and claims it works too (wap.voicestream.com or something, I’m just posting whatever works for me)
Username: (Intentionally Blank)
Password: (Intentionally Blank)
MMSC: mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080

5. After that it should work, I would reboot again for the heck of it and you should see the new camera icon in the messaging app.
